This Privacy Policy governs the service provided by Ujoin (the “Service”) by Ujoin Inc. (“Ujoin” “we,” “our,” or “us”), and your use of the Service is conditioned on your acceptance of this policy. Your acceptance creates a binding agreement between you and Ujoin. This Privacy Policy is incorporated into and is subject to our Terms of Use.

This Privacy Policy discloses the types of information we gather, how we use it, and what choices you have regarding the collection of such information.

We reserve the right to amend this Privacy Policy. Your use of the Service following any amendment of this Privacy Policy will signify your assent to and acceptance of its revised terms.

Please note that any video, image, or other content posted onto the site or communicated by you is not considered personally identifiable information subject to this Privacy Policy.

Credit Cards or ACH Payments

The Company uses a third party to manage credit card and ACH transactions. If we establish a recurring payment plan for you, we will input your credit card information only once, after which we will not retain your credit card information other than the last four digits of the credit card number for account reference purposes. We do not otherwise receive, process, store, or view your credit card or bank account information, and we do not in any event process credit card or ACH transactions ourselves.

Cloud Hosting and Infrastructure

Ujoin uses third-party cloud infrastructure and technology providers to host, operate, secure, and support the Service. Ujoin does not maintain or operate its own physical servers for hosting the Service.

These providers may process or store information on Ujoin's behalf solely as necessary to provide the infrastructure and related services. Ujoin selects service providers that it determines are appropriate for the services they provide and requires applicable providers to maintain appropriate security and confidentiality measures.

Collection of Personal Information

Use of certain features of the Service may require submission of certain personal information, including your first, last name, and email address.

Your data, contact lists, and your organization’s information that you input or upload into the Service will remain your property at all times. We do not, and will not, sell, lease, share, or distribute your membership lists, campaign content, or other data specific to you and your account with us. During your use of the Service, you grant to us a license to use and manipulate all information and materials submitted by you, to the extent necessary to fulfill the purposes of the Service and your use of the Service.

Non-Personally Identifiable Information

We may collect or receive (in some cases as part of the internet communication protocol) certain non-personally identifiable technical information, when the Service and pages are visited. We will be able to collect information about your use of the Service, the response and actions taken by your list members and the subjects of your outreach campaigns.

We reserve the right to collect data about overall patterns of usage of the Service and campaign results by our users, including by user type (e.g., trade association, nonprofit, private corporation), and to utilize that data on an aggregated basis that does not identify or specifically describe you or your organization, your members, your contacts, or the targets of your campaigns. Rather than using any specifically identifiable data with others, these aggregated reports and data sharing will assist you and our other users in increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of your efforts, understanding what tends to work and what does not tend to work, and providing benchmarking data against which you can analyze and improve your own campaigns.

Use of AI for Legislative Analysis

Ujoin uses third party artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies solely to provide certain legislative analysis features within the Services. These features are designed to analyze legislative bills and related publicly available legislative information, including bill text, summaries, amendments, legislative status, and other information concerning legislative matters.

Ujoin's AI-enabled features are not designed or used to process personal information. Ujoin does not intentionally submit personal information to its AI systems for analysis, and Ujoin does not use personal information to train, develop, or improve artificial intelligence or machine learning models.

The AI-powered legislative analysis features may generate summaries, classifications, explanations, comparisons, or other analytical information based on legislative materials. AI-generated analysis is provided as an informational tool and may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. Users should independently review legislative materials and other authoritative sources before relying on AI-generated analysis for legal, regulatory, compliance, governmental, or other significant decisions.

Ujoin may use third-party technology providers to support the delivery of its AI-powered legislative analysis features. Such providers may process legislative bill content and related information solely as necessary to provide the applicable AI functionality and in accordance with Ujoin's contractual requirements and applicable law. Ujoin does not authorize such providers to use Personal Information for purposes of training their artificial intelligence or machine learning models.

Cookies

We may use cookies to enhance and personalize your experience of the Service, including to operate and improve offerings through the Service.

We do not require that you accept cookies, and you may disable cookies at any time. However, some functionality of our Service may be impaired if you decline to accept cookies. To disable cookies, follow the instructions in your web browser.

IP Addresses

For security, we collect and analyze traffic on our Service. IP addresses are unique numeric identifiers that are assigned by internet service providers to each router accessing the Internet.

Data Security

Ujoin takes the security of Personal Information and other information processed through the Services seriously. We maintain administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, acquisition, use, disclosure, alteration, or destruction and to maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the Services.

Ujoin uses third-party cloud infrastructure and other service providers to support the operation and security of the Services. Ujoin is responsible for the security of its applications, configurations, access controls, and data within the portions of the infrastructure that it controls, while third-party infrastructure providers are responsible for security measures applicable to the infrastructure and services they provide.

No method of transmitting, storing, or processing information is completely secure. Accordingly, while Ujoin takes reasonable measures designed to protect information, Ujoin cannot guarantee that the Services or any information transmitted to or through the Services will be completely secure or immune from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.

Non-U.S. Users

The Service is hosted in the United States. If you are accessing the Service from a jurisdiction with privacy laws or regulations that differ from United States laws, please be advised that through your continued use of the Service, you are transferring your personal information to the United States and you consent to that transfer.

California Residents

California residents have certain rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”). Please note that the CCPA does not apply to nonpublic personal information collected by financial institutions, which is regulated by other laws. The CCPA does not therefore apply to much of the information we collect.

Subject to limitations and exceptions, the CCPA provides California residents the right to request details about the categories and specific elements of personal information we collect, to delete their personal information, to opt out of any “sales” that may be occurring, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Choices available to you for the collection and handling of your information are addressed throughout this policy.

Business Transfers and Changes in Ownership

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or other transaction involving a transfer of ownership or control of all or a portion of our business, personal information and other information we maintain may be transferred to or otherwise disclosed to the parties involved in the transaction, including a successor or acquiring entity.

Any successor or acquiring entity will be required to handle personal information in accordance with applicable law. To the extent required by applicable law, we will provide notice of any material changes to our privacy practices resulting from such transaction and will provide any rights or choices required by applicable law.

We may also disclose information to prospective purchasers, investors, lenders, advisors, and other parties as reasonably necessary to evaluate, negotiate, or complete such a transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality and data-protection obligations.

Changes To This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the Effective Date above and post the revised Privacy Policy. If we make material changes to our privacy practices, we may provide additional notice as required by applicable law, such as by posting a notice within the Services or sending notice to an account administrator.
